With the national spotlight positioned on law enforcement agencies for use of force issues, other agencies are coming under scrutiny, yet again, because their EIIP “systems” have failed to properly identify problematic behaviors. EIIP misidentifications have long been an “Achilles’ heel” for agencies and their EIIP managers due to system designs, ill-defined benchmark criteria, misaligned governing philosophies to support the data review, or all the above.
In this course, attendees learn how to identify characteristics associated with common pitfalls with EIIPs, and learn of behavioral data analysis strategies to help them better understand how symptoms of problematic behaviors may manifest in organizational data. Attendees will also learn reporting techniques intended to help report organizational losses as part of a risk management component within an EIIP. The topics in this training are based on practitioner-based techniques, skills and best practices.
